ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE) March 21, 2012 Nicholas (Nick) Farsi has been named the new Chief Information Officer at NexxLinx, a leading business process outsourcing and marketing services firm based in Atlanta. Nick will succeed Rob Hornbuckle, who is taking the CTO position at NexxPhase, the multichannel cloud-based contact center subsidiary of NexxLinx.
Prior to joining NexxLinx, Farsi served as an Executive Mentor with Advance Technology Development Center of Georgia Technology Institute, and has been CIO or held senior leadership roles at many public and private organizations, including AT&T, VeriSign, Rallient Technology Inc., the Atlanta Housing Authority and Interland.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Citadel Military College of South Carolina; was voted Georgia CIO of the year in year 2001, and was selected as one of the premier top 100 IT leaders by Computer World magazine in year 2002.
"Nick brings outstanding technology experience and expertise," said Craig Mento, CEO of NexxLinx. Technology's role in the contact center business cannot be overstated. From responding to evolving client preferences in the way they want to communicate, to developing new and more effective ways to increase security and improve the customer experience, technology is a critical aspect of our growth and operating strategy."
Rob Hornbuckle moves over to take the technology reins at NexxPhase.
According to Mento, "The world is moving to the cloud. NexxPhase is in the right place, with the right solution, at the right time. The NexxPhase Customer Interaction Manager makes all the features of a tier one contact center available on a per-minute SaaS basis for a fraction of other offerings."
Speaking about Hornbuckle, he offered, "Whenever you can find the perfect in-house candidate and it's someone who has shown skill, dedication and command of the business, then the decision is an easy one. Rob has that vision and competitive edge to lead NexxPhase forward."
